I hope you enjoyed my last post on our veg garden. Today, I’m going to talk a little about our herb and lettuce gardens, both follow companion planting guidelines too. Under a perssimon tree we have strawberries, lettuce, kale, parsley, and red onion. This section gets a lot of sun during the morning hours, and is shaded during the afternoon heat. It is the perfect spot for lettuce, and we have already harvested 3 heads of lettuce!
In our herb garden, and in some pots we have the perfect cooking and natural herbal remedy herbs. We have cumin, thyme, sage, oregano, basil, lemon balm, bee balm, dill, mint, rosemary, catnip, and hyssop. I am currently on the hunt for chamomile and feverfew to complete my herb garden.
