Expanding the garden

Cabra Dominican College's Produce Garden

Wednesday after school some student helpers from Year 10 PLP did all the hard work in expanding our garden.

We had some soil leftover from our donations last term. We filled some pots with rich soil for a Year 8 class Home Economics class that will be planting some kitchen herbs for use in the kitchens. Then we moved our last 2 half wine barrels into the garden space and filled them with soil, ready for some more dwarf fruit trees.

Soon we’ll be harvesting as the rocket is taking over!

Herb explosion - lots of mint and rocket taking over. Herb explosion – lots of mint and rocket taking over.
