Garden Progression

Wild Forage

The following are some pictures of my back yard garden.  This year, I doubled the size of the garden.  On Mothers Day,  I planted heirloom tomato plants, pole beans, jalapeno peppers, cayenne peppers, egg plant, zucchini, crookneck squash, cucumbers, bell peppers and an assortment of herbs.  The plan is to bottle, dehydrate, pickle and preserve these vegetables as they ripen over the summer.  This way, when Utah is locked into its cold, long, dreary winter, I will still be able to remember summers warmth and taste it’s bounty.

I will be providing pictures, recipes and information on my efforts to preserve these vegetables on Wild Forage for your review.  Stay tuned.

I have included pictures of the garden from Mothers Day, when it was planted, as well as from today, June 25, 2014.  It is amazing how fast these plants grow and how quickly summer passes by!  Enjoy.
